The Prime-Line PL 7812 is a 36-inch aluminum frame segment designed for creating custom-sized window screens where standard off-the-shelf sizes do not fit. It is manufactured from 6063-grade aluminum alloy, a material chosen for its favorable strength-to-weight ratio. The white finish is a thermally bonded powder coating, which helps the frame resist the chalking and fading often caused by prolonged outdoor exposure.
Build quality is centered on a roll-formed profile with a wall thickness between 0.020 and 0.025 inches. This provides the necessary rigidity to withstand the tension of the screen mesh without warping. Because this is a single 36-inch piece, it allows for high levels of adjustability; the metal can be easily cut to size using a standard hacksaw and a miter box for clean angles.
Note: This product is the frame chassis only. Successful assembly will require the separate purchase of corner keys, screen mesh, and a compatible 0.125-inch spline.
